A Royal Upgrade

This is the same typewriter used by writer, Bernard Malamud. It was also one of Hemmingway's favorites. It comes with a sturdy carrying case for travel.
Below is my first manually typed blog entry, (with only one typo!) Click on the image for a larger view.

Touching the same keys as your mother? Getting in touch with your feminine side I reckon, couldn´t be more proud of my gay husband :)
I'm jealous you type that well. I only have about a 95% accuracy, and my backspace key is continually saving my butt.
Ooooo!
You can still buy ribbon?
kj, you can buy ANYTHING on line.
I use to do my term papers in college on a manual typewriter. I was horrible on a typewriter - “No Speel Checker” ;-)
Give me a computer!
and no copy and paste. I know, but it feels good to exercise for a change.
My dad used to have an old manual (heck, he probably has it now if my mom hasn't gotten to it) and I can still remember hearing that super loud "click...clack...click..." coming from the kitchen table.
I remember trying to type on it as a kid and having to start about a foot in the air to get enough force to push down a key. It's a sweet memory. Thanks.
And I'm really glad you have that....
Have listen a here
Yeah, that's totally it! Cool. (Although my dad typed about half that fast.)
